1957 Carvel Planked Wooden pleasure craft is an ex RCMP patrol vessel that has been professionally built by McKay – Cormack shipyards in Victoria B.C. It has a raked stem, rounded bilges to a long keel and curved transom. There is a foredeck with anchor locker and windlass, followed by the wheel-house and main salon. Side decks lead aft to a lazarette deck at the stern and access to a large rudder steering compartment. Two single berths forward located in the foc’sle and aft of the foc’sle is an enclosed head with a shower followed by a double berth to port with laundry facilities to starboard. Stairs lead up to the wheelhouse and aft of the wheelhouse is the galley, salon with dining/lounge. The galley has large double stainless steel sinks. Pressurized hot and cold water. Moffat 4 burner LPG with oven and a Danby 8 cu. ft. freezer in the laundry room. A single door leading aft to the outside deck and stairs to starboard lead down to the aft cabin with an enclosed head/shower. The cabin is trimmed with mahogany and this vessel can sleep 6-10 people comfortably. Powered by a V-12 Cummins diesel engine that has been rebuilt. A 1972 Sea Ray hull 240, had an extensive refit by Lidstrom Marine boat building in 2004. Fibreglass foam filled core stringer system makes for a tough and durable vessel hull. Accessible transom for ease of boarding on and off the vessel leading to the swim grid abaft the main deck. One head on board located forward in the cabin port side allowing for complete privacy. Cockpit windows made of a “LEWMAR” shatter proof compound glass designed for use of vessels on the water.
